Fungus
Toenail fungus also known, as onychomycosis is a fairly common condition that disfigures and can destroy the nail. This condition is caused of fungi that grow in the moist warm environment in your shoes. These fungi generally belong to a group of fungi called dermatophytes. As they grow they invade and feed on the protein (keratin) that makes up the hard surface of the toenails. It can also be spread person to person in public areas such as locker rooms and showers.
Toenail fungus can now be cured by ZetaClear. Zeta Clear is a brand new product that help millions of people in United States in curing their nail fungus. Apply the Zeta Clear with brush applicator to affected nail three times per day as or as your health care provide suggests. Zeta Clear contains Undecylenic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Clove Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Lemongrass Oil and Vitamin E Oil.
Nail fungus can be prevented by wearing comfortable well fitting shoes; wearing shower shoes or sandals in locker rooms; washing your feet daily, dry thoroughly and using a talcum, powder; and keep toenails trimmed.

Spain Ole!
The Bujaco Tower is the most beautiful one of the five that are left in the city when it was under Muslim control throughout the 12th century. The 25 meters tall tower is also known as the "New Tower" or "Watch Tower". Its most popular name derives from the Calif Abu-ya-gub. The city walls of Avila is located at the river Adaja's side at 1630 meters from sea level, Avila is the highest city of Spain and possesses the longest city walls which still today surround the city (with a longitude of 2,526 mtrs, with a medium height of 12 mtrs, and 3 mtrs thick). The city, as well as its churches, was recognized by UNESCO in 1985 as part of the World Heritage for Humanity.
We will not miss the Sagrada Familia a enormous neogothic church design by Gaudi. The façades and the entire exterior show extensive decorative elements in bright colours. La Boqueria is a large public market, here you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, crabs, lobsters, shrimps, fishes and other local delicacies. The Gothic Quarter also known as the Cathedral's Quarter. It is suitable for strolls, craft fairs, local activities, parties, etc. - offers a vision of a collection of buildings that, presided over by the Cathedral, anticipate what we will find upon entering the alleyways of the district.
The Prado Museum features one of the most finest European Art. The museum contain thousands of painting, scupltures, coins, medals, drawings and prints. Next to Prado Museum is the Botanical Garden, this garden was founded to provide the herbs and fresh vegetable and fruits necessary to maintain the royal family. The Garden also houses an important botanical research center with the latest technological equipment, a herbarium with more than a million of specimens, and a library with more than 32.000 volumes. All these resources are used to botanical research, mainly on Spanish and American floras.
The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of His Majesty The King of Spain, who makes use of it for official ceremonies, though not residing there. The origins of the Palace go back to the 9th century, during which the Islamic Kingdom of Toledo built a defensive fort on the site, later used by the Kings of Castile. It was on this ancient fortress that the Old Alcázar was constructed in the 16th century. The Alcázar was destroyed by fire on Christmas Eve, 1734, and King Philip V wished for a New Palace occupying the same site. The entire complex was built with stone and brick vaulting, without any wood, so that no future fire could destroy it.Building work took from 1738 to 1755, and King Charles III took up residence in the Palace in 1764.

My vote
Today is special non-working holiday per Presidential Proclamation No. 1403. To give the people the fullest opportunity to participate in the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay Elections and exercise their right to vote.
My main criteria for choosing our next barangay officials is their integrity and honesty, not their "winnability".

Conquest and Reduction of Bislig
In the year 1597, the Spaniards penetrated the Province of Caraga "with great zeal, but they could remain in there because of the ferocity of the natives, and for the other casualties, which make those province less habitable. However, the natives are subdued by the conquistador when Governor Juan de Silva declared war against those natives in 1609.
By 1613, Bislig was conquered and reduced by Captain Juan Mendez Porras and accompanied, for the common consolation of the soldiers, by Father Fray Lorenzo de San Facundo and Fray Father Diego Santa Ana, together with the villages of Cateel and Baganga. The natives at first seemed hostile to the Spaniards but with friendly persuasion the "Cross and Sword" triumphed.
In the "Confirmacciones de Encomiends, 1616-1700" stated that in 1619, the District of Bislig and Cateel was given to Alferez Juan de Las Mariñas as his encomienda (land grant arrangement), where the encomendero could "tax the areas they settle - that they assumed the responsibility for the natives, but in practice it was outrageously abusive." The natives were "treated worse than slaves," some dying "under the lash." the natives were compelled to pay a certain amount in taxes in goods or gold and to require certain labor services to rendered by the inhabitants.
Some in 1655, Bislig became encomienda of Sergeant Juan Camacho dela Peña and it has two parish priest and has three hundred tribute payers with the following station: Hinatuan, Cateel, and Banganga.

Vanuatu's Underwater Post Office

These cards are collected regularly by one of Vanuatu Post’s four trained scuba divers and cancelled before delivering locally and overseas. Being Prepared Can Save your Lives!
What to do in case of TSUNAMIS.
1. a strong earthquake is a natural tsunami warning. Do not stay in low-lying and seashore areas after an earthquake. A tsunami might occur within minutes.
2. Other natural signs include sudden lowering of the sea level or an unusual rise and fall of the sea level.
Fish and other other marine life may be exposed when the sea retreats: Never go down to the beach to collect these. Tsunami waves might rush back anytime and carry you out to sea with great force.
3. Tsunamis are also preceded and/or accompanied by unusual sounds. Be alert for these signs, too.
4. Immediately vacate and seek higher ground. Stay there until all signs of danger have passed.

Funny Thoughts About Words
You know what they say: "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder."
Sitting at my computer today, I realized that only drug dealers and software developers call their clients "users."
I've been trying to find another word for synonym.
"Con" is the opposite of "pro," so "congress" must be the opposite of "progress."

Father
My father made a lot sacrifices to be where he is now and i admire him for that. He stand proud in front of you with nothing to hide. His honesty, disciple and determination are same traits that have molded us into who we are today. We learned to be humble at all times. he always made us to believe that what is right should be kept right and what is wrong should be set right. These are just some of principles that my father instilled in us, and we are very grateful.

Vote Marcos Antonio Torres for Beijing Olympic 2008 Torch Bearer
Vote for Marcos Antonio Torres As 2008 Olympics Torch Bearer. See the Vote Rankings.
Marcos Antonio says:
Hope you can help me be the first Filipino torch bearer for the first time since the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. It is said that the first and only time a Filipino held the torch was during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics 44 years ago. If he doesn¡¯t carry it now, we may not have a Filipino in the next 50 years as it may take awhile again before the Olympics are held in Asia. Winning an Olympic gold has been elusive for the Philippines. This is an opportunity to unify all Filipinos towards a single golden Olympic cause.
Should I get chosen, I will take it as an opportunity to promote China to the Philippines and vice versa. There is truly more to China than the Great Wall, it is after all one of the earliest civilizations, and China has a lot of unique and interesting things to share the world. This is probably why despite over a year of exploring, you just can¡¯t get enough of China.
I have been living in Beijing for over a year now. I moved here to be in the most exciting place one can be....Beijing is where it¡¯s all happening. While many cities took decades and centuries to build (Rome was definitely not built in a day), modern Beijing is being created within a year. From a flat landscape of the most beautiful imperial temples and palaces, you see fantastic creative buildings rising. Beijing must have the record for most landmarks, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and now you have the Bird's Nest (Olympic Stadium), the water cube (Aquatic Stadium), the Giant Egg (Grand Opera House) and the Z (CCTV Tower). All iconic structures which symbolize Beijing. Such strong identifiable symbols that you know it cannot be mistaken for any other place when you see them.
I love Beijing and I love the Olympics. Proof of this is that I declined an opportunity to move to Shanghai if only for the Olympics. I also know now that my destiny of being in the Olympics will be fulfilled.

Air Force to get ‘cyber sidearms’
According to Sebastian Sprenger of fcm.com, the Air Force will soon give service members working on networks a new tool to help detect cyberattacks, service officials said.
The “cyber sidearm” is intended to be a simple way for service members to quickly alert others to potential security breaches, said Lt. Gen. Robert Elder, commander of the 8th Air Force.
The tool could be a small piece of software installed on Air Force computers or it could be a simple mechanism for taking a screenshot and relaying it to security experts, said Maj. Gen. William Lord, who will soon take command of the Air Force’s provisional Cyber Command.
In an interview this week, Lord said service officials have not made a final decision about which technology they will use for the program.
Elder said service leaders will stage fake threats to practice using the cyber sidearm. Service members will receive points when they use the tool appropriately and lose points when they fail to act on a simulated threat, he said during a panel discussion in Washington last week sponsored by the Air Force Association.
The cyber sidearm program is part of a broader effort to defend Air Force networks against intruders. Service officials have also begun auditing crucial software to identify security risks, Elder said.

How the U.S. Became Switchboard to the World
A lucky coincidence of economics is responsible for routing much of the world's internet and telephone traffic through switching points in the United States, where, under legislation introduced this week, the U.S. National Security Agency will be free to continue tapping it. ...International phone and internet traffic flows through the United States largely because of pricing models established more than 100 years ago... The United States, where the internet was invented, was also home to the first internet backbone. Combine that architectural advantage with the pricing disparity inherited from the phone networks, and the United States quickly became the center of cyberspace as the internet gained international penetration in the 1990s.

Google launches video ad program using YouTube
Google on Tuesday set out to profit from its $1.65-billion purchase of YouTube by letting websites use advertising-laced videos and then share in the revenues.
Google's "video units" program enables publishers to embed YouTube videos on their websites using a customized player and then make money from overlay text ads that fade in and out as videos play.
The move is Google's initial foray into squeezing money from YouTube, which it bought last year in a stock deal, and marks the first time the US Internet titan is serving up content along with ads.
"Nowadays, website publishers realize that getting people to visit your website is only half of the equation," Google product marketing manager Christine Lee wrote in a posting at the company's website.
"Growing your audience is important, but keeping your audience engaged and staying on your site longer is just as important, if not more so."
Ads are matched to video content and revenues are shared with website publishers as well as Google partners that provide video content, according to Lee.
Google said partners providing video content include TV Guide Broadband, Expert Village, Mondo Media, lonelygirl15, Extreme Elements, and Ford Models.
Video units are available in the US for English language websites but the program will be expanded in coming months, according to Google.

Xenical
Xenical (orlistat) is a drug which blocks the absorption of fat. It acts only in the digestive system, particularly in the stomach and in the intestines by blocking the lipase; thus preventing it from breaking down the fat. The fat being undigested, and too large to be absorbed, remains in the intestines where it will eventually be flushed out with the stool. By taking xenical with each meal, it can prevent the digestion of at least 30% of the dietary fat that will be consumed. In doing so, Xenical promotes weight loss from body fat and not from muscle mass. Aside from preventing the onset of obesity in the individual, the prescription wonder does not have any side effects. It is safe even for long-term use because it does not affect the nervous and respiratory system and there is no possibility of addiction. These amazing benefits of xenical (orlistat) have eventually made it as one of the most-sough after drugs worldwide. It enjoys tremendous acceptance not only from people suffering from obesity but also from those who have weigth related problems. In the Philippines, Xenical (orlistat) became one of the most popular diet pill medications among notable celebrities and politicians and people from the upper echelons of society.
