The trunks of the trees preserved in remarkable condition, it did not turn into stone, standing at 4-6 metters tall and 1.5-3 meters in diameter just as they were in the late Miocene geological period 8 million years. ago when the Carpathian basin - present day Hungary - was a freshwater lake surrounded by swamps

Federer won his 4th Masters Cup title
Top-ranked Roger Federer won his fourth Masters Cup title Sunday, overwhelming No. 6 David Ferrer 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.
It was the third consecutive dominating performance by Federer, who won his 53rd career title – including eight this year – and ran his record against Ferrer to 8-0. Federer collected US$ 1.2 million (euro820,000) and a new car for the win. The Spaniard was simply no match for Federer’s blend of spins, power and volleying skills, managing only 10 winners to 38 unforced errors as he was forced to try to do too much with Federer getting everything back. Federer had 30 winners and 29 unforced errors. Swiss fans said it all with a banner reading, "Shhh! Quiet! Genius at work." Federer faced a break point at 2-2, 30-40 in the first set, then ran off 18 of the next 19 points. The streak also started a stretch in which Federer won 30 of 33 service points through the end of the second set.

The 5$ Bill (Redesigned Currency)
A new $5 bill design was unveiled to the public in late September 2007 and will enter circulation in early 2008. A new redesign $100 bill will follow.This redesigned currency is safer, smarter and more secure:
Safer because it is harder to fake and easier to check;
Smarter to stay ahead of savvy counterfeiters; and
More secure to protect the integrity of United States currency, making it easier for businesses and consumers to check the new $5 bills they receive and more difficult for counterfeiters to fake.
The new $5 bill incorporates state-of-the-art security features that are easy to use by cash handlers and consumers alike. Hold the bills up to the light to check for these features:
Watermarks: There are now two watermarks on the redesigned $5 bill. A large number "5" watermark is located to the right of the portrait replacing the previous watermark portrait of President Lincoln found on the older design $5 bills. A second watermark - a column of three smaller "5"s - has been added to the new $5 bill design and is positioned to the left of the portrait.

Horoscope II
Just this morning when in open my iGoogle e-mail account, i read my horoscope it says:
You may be feeling a bit blue because you can't tell what's around the next bend. Don't waste your energy trying to figure out what to do, though, until you see your way clear of the current confusion. Simply being aware of your emotions now enables you to better focus your intensity or back off if necessary. Today, flexibility helps more than anything....
Whoa! nice prediction, a little bit close to what i feel, think and experience today.

October
October
by: Robert Frost
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the wall.
i like this poem because its my birthday month.

i can't help but smile at people around me and they smile back. They can't seem to help it and it does seem like a little smile can go a long, long way. it's unavoidable to have things that don't go my way, but when in in a happy mood. it's easy to think of it, as something that will pass and i will get through. As saying goes "no matter how thin you slice the ham, there are always two sides."

constantly,
frigidly,
by the icy breeze.
in the wee hours of the night
they shiver,
heplessly,
unresistingly,
before the the break of the dawn,
they cry out in silent anguish.
the tiny specks of water
glitters in the sun,
the shade tears of the grass.

The Power of Comma
A classic example of the considerable power the tiny comma wields in the battle between clarity and confusion concerns Maria Fedorova, philanthropic wife of Czar Alexander III of Russia. Intercepting in 1921 an Imperial Warrant for prisoner which read "Pardon impossible, to be sent to Siberia," the Czarina deftly transposed the comma, and returned the warrant. It now read: "Pardon, impossible to send to Siberia". The prisoner was saved.
